A twenty-year-old sedan is waiting for a second life in the form of an unlicensed copy of the Saipa company. In Iran, the first generation of Logan will be called Pars Khodro Cadilla P90. The model will differ from the source code familiar to Russians in its technology, design and expanded range of options. Under the hood of the Iranian auto industry newcomer there will be a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter Peugeot engine.

The epic with the localization of the updated old Logan in Iran lasts more than a year, but the characteristics and equipment have only now been confirmed. The body remains recognizable, but the lighting equipment, trunk lid, bumpers, and most of the components have changed: the Pars Khodro Cadilla P90 is 85% localized!

In France, they investigated how the Citroen plant was restarted in Russia. In Iran, the Peugeot sedan, originally from the 1980s, will be returned to the assembly line. Iran has overtaken Russia in the rate of car production.

Under the hood is a 113-horsepower (144 Nm) Peugeot EC5 engine of Euro-5 eco-standard, which is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. The base includes a media system with a 7-inch touchscreen, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, power steering, tire pressure monitoring system, air conditioning, Isofix seat holders, power mirrors, rain sensor, parking sensors, brake force distribution, stabilization and ABS systems.

Leaked catalogs mean that the reimagined Renault Logan will soon hit the Iranian market. In a country under sanctions, proven cars are in demand, and the Peugeot 405 from 1987 remains in service, so the archaic design of the Logan is unlikely to scare off buyers.
