The Russian website of the brand is now accepting orders for the JS3 – this model has replaced the “old” J3, and in China it is known under the index S3 Pro. The new crossover has two-tier head optics and a frameless radiator grille, and under the hood is a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 109 horsepower. There are two gearboxes to choose from – manual and variator, exclusively front-wheel drive. In Russia, the closest competitor to the model will be the Livan X3 Pro.

The website provides several figures: the JS3 trunk volume is 600 liters, the fuel tank is 45 liters, ground clearance is 155 millimeters (J3 has 170 millimeters), the declared maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour. The four-cylinder in-line engine runs on gasoline and complies with the Euro-5 environmental class. The crossover has independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front and semi-independent suspension at the rear.

Basic options for the model include halogen headlights and LED daytime running lights, roof rails, air conditioning, a four-speaker audio system, cruise control and parking sensors. Safety is ensured by two front airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system and six auxiliary electronic systems.

In the more expensive configuration, the JAC JS3 has eco-leather trim, climate control, a touch screen multimedia system and a rear view camera. The number of audio system speakers has been increased to six.

According to the Chinese Cars portal, a JS3 with a manual transmission can cost 1.74 million rubles in Russia, and 1.83 million with a CVT. For comparison, Livan X3 Pro can be purchased for 1.88 million rubles.

JAC JS3 is also interesting because it was previously called the future “Moskvich”. The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, shared a video of a crash test of this model while he was on a working trip in China. It is still unknown when exactly JS3 will turn into Moskvich.
