It will be shown at the Japan Mobility Show, which will be held in Tokyo from October 25 to November 5, 2023. The innovative concept car with a fastback body will be a showcase of the latest developments of the Japanese company. Its serial incarnation should see the light of day in 2026 and give rise to a whole family of new battery-powered cars from the Japanese brand, which is committed to full electrification.

One of the teasers shows the rear of the car from above. The concept received a raised bumper, developed wheel arches and a sloping roof that looked like glass. At its base is an LED strip with the Lexus inscription in the center. The brand repeated a couple of previous images, once again showing the front of the electric car with boomerang headlights and the profile.

Lexus hasn’t revealed any details yet, but has hinted at a new platform that will underpin future battery-powered models. The fastback is also promised a modular body design, and it will be produced using a new method with an emphasis on efficiency.

The power plant will include at least two electric motors, which indicates all-wheel drive. The innovative battery should provide about 800 kilometers of autonomous travel, and it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes. The reduced weight and improved aerodynamics promised by the models will help increase the power reserve.

As for other new products, Lexus hinted at them in another teaser with an exhibition stand. It shows another sedan or fastback with a “fin” antenna on the roof and other outlines, as well as some kind of crossover. While it may not be new, the RZ is Lexus’s first full-fledged electric vehicle, unveiled in the spring of 2022.
