According to him, it is necessary to localize the maximum number of parts for the automotive industry and “keep under control” the final cost of domestic cars. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, noting that the authorities continue to support the industry against the backdrop of sanctions.

Mishustin spoke about an additional 15 billion rubles that the government will allocate to the Industrial Development Fund. They should help implement at least a dozen projects, including the production of a domestic anti-lock braking system (ABS) and passive safety elements.

In order for factories to operate smoothly, it is necessary to localize the maximum number of components, the Prime Minister emphasized. The authorities, in turn, continue to provide “full support”, including the supply of spare parts from abroad.

At the same time, domestic ABS is already being produced: in the summer, the Kostroma company Itelma announced the establishment of production. It already supplies systems to AvtoVAZ, has begun working with the GAZ Group and is negotiating with other enterprises. The company noted that it is ready to provide blocks to foreign companies. In December, Itelma should begin production of ESP, an electronic stabilization system.

They plan to return the former Bosch plant in Samara to work in the middle of next year. In addition, in 2025, Sollers will begin producing passive safety systems at an enterprise in the Ulyanovsk region, into which they will invest 1.5 billion rubles.
