According to the brand’s website, the output of the 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine is 136 horsepower, while the previously stated power was 150 horsepower, the telegram channel “Autopotok” drew attention to the corrected data. Moskvich itself explained this by the transition to a new certificate, “within the framework of which power measurements were carried out in independent laboratories.”

Changes to the official characteristics of the model were made exactly a year after it entered the assembly line of the Moscow plant. Moskvich 3 became the first model of the revived brand, which began to be assembled at the former Renault plant after the French automaker left Russia. The plant was restarted through the efforts of KamAZ and a new technology partner, the Chinese company JAC. “Moskvich 3” is a JAC JS4 with different logos.

It is noteworthy that the JAC JS4 was present on the Russian market for some time, and this model was sold with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing exactly 136 horsepower. At the same time, the output of the same engine on Moskvich 3 was 150 forces. Both the original JS4 and Moskvich 3 combine the engine with a manual transmission or a CVT. “Chinese” is no longer sold in Russia, but “Moskvich” can be bought for 2,220,000 – 2,478,000 rubles, depending on the modification and configuration.

Earlier it became known that during the year of operation (since November 2022), the Moskvich plant produced 31 thousand cars, including four thousand Moskvich 3e electric crossovers. As of November 2023, the model line has expanded to three cars: the crossovers were joined by the Moskvich 6 liftback (JAC A5 Plus, also known as Sehol Yao).
