In the second generation, the “nine” retained the ladder-type frame, spring suspension with a continuous axle at the rear and a “longitudinal” engine. In terms of architecture and dimensions, the Haval H9 is similar to the Tank 500 SUV, but there are important differences: for example, the new product does not have a 3.0-liter V6 engine, but there is a diesel in the range! The interior is simpler than that of the Tank, but previously unseen options and functions have been added.

The new Haval H9 is larger than its predecessor: the length is increased by almost 11 centimeters, the width by five, the height by three, the wheelbase is stretched by five centimeters. Cross-country ability has become better: ground clearance has been increased to 224 millimeters (+18 mm), approach and departure angles have become 31 and 25 degrees, respectively (previously – 28 and 23). As before, the fifth door opens to the side, but now a full-size spare wheel is attached to it.

Haval confirmed the imminent debut of two SUVs in Russia

The new SUV will appear on the assembly line of the Chinese Haval plant within a month, so the publication of price lists is not far off. The second generation H9 will appear in Russia before the end of the year and will probably be registered at a plant in the Tula region. However, according to unofficial data, the Russian range will not be the same as on the domestic market.
