The car, designated C7, will debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 28, the press service of the Chery-owned brand reported. Judging by the teaser, the SUV will have a completely different design than the popular Omoda C5 in Russia. It will also surpass the C5 in size and enter the more premium segment. In the future Omoda [планирует](https://motor.ru/news/omoda-c7-c3-22-12-2023.htm) bring the new C7 to Russia.

The new product is distinguished from the C5 by front optics with a scattering of light elements on the bumper, and other lights with a zigzag light signature. The radiator grille is also completely different – with “perforations” instead of a complex pattern.

The technical characteristics of the C7 are still classified. According to some reports, the crossover will be based on the Jaecoo J7 platform with a 4.5-meter body and technology from the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max. More advanced electronics and advanced driver assistants are expected, and the engine range may include both hybrid units and pure internal combustion engines.

In Russia, Omoda currently sells the C5 crossover and S5 sedan, including the “hot” version of the S5 GT.

At the beginning of April, the cost of the C5 decreased thanks to the new entry-level version of Fun, which was priced at 2,179,900 rubles (with discounts – 1,999,900 rubles). The next most expensive configuration, Joy, costs 2,376,900 or 2,076,900 rubles, respectively.
