In 2023, the premium Porsche Panamera liftback experienced a generational change – the German automaker held an official presentation of the third generation model, which is a heavily modernized version of the 2016 model. And the liftback will be the only modification of the new Porsche Panamera – the Sport Turismo station wagon will no longer be offered to customers in the model line. Simply because they were not very willing to buy this version.

“In China and the USA, our main markets for D-segment cars, the Sport Turismo station wagon plays only a minor role in sales volumes. For this reason, we have decided to discontinue this variant of the Porsche Panamera with the launch of the new generation,” reads an official statement from the German automaker.

Sport Turismo accounted for less than 10% of total Panamera sales, which explains why Porsche decided not to release a new generation of the model. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo station wagon was first introduced in 2017 and underwent a facelift in 2020 – the station wagon was based on the second generation liftback, which received a new body.
