Production all-terrain vehicles have begun to roll out of the Great Wall Motor plant in Chongqing. In the Middle Kingdom, the new Haval H9 is being produced next to the Tank 300 and Great Wall Poer pickups; Over time, localization in Russia at the facilities of the Tula GWM plant is not excluded. There are no surprises in design or technology: the “nine” was completely shown at the last auto show in Beijing, so only the prices remain a secret.

The first production Haval H9 is painted in a previously unseen matte color. In China, the SUV will be available with a five- or seven-seater cabin, a gasoline (2.0 liter) or diesel (2.4 liter) turbo engine, a classic automatic transmission, ToD-type all-wheel drive and a reduction gear. Compared to its predecessor, the length, width, and height have noticeably increased. The expected price in China is 170 thousand yuan (23.5 thousand dollars).

The new H9 will reach our country “literally in a while”: this was stated by the executive director of Haweil Motor Rus Andrey Akifiev. However, details about the technology and equipment of the Russian version are not disclosed. The life cycle of the first generation Haval H9 at the Tula plant has been completed, the model has been removed from the official website, but dealers still have the remains of SUVs.

The “second” H9 will be sold through the new Haval Pro dealer network. The first-born of the line of all-terrain models was the Haval H3 crossover, and the range can also be complemented by the large and affordable frame SUV H5.
