The luxury SUV underwent a mid-life makeover that was quite bold for the conservative brand. The Cullinan, which received the Series II prefix, has a completely redesigned front end: it has narrow headlights with DRL fangs that extend down to the bumper, where the air intakes are located slightly at an angle. Similar to the standard Cullinan, the top-end Black Badge has also been updated.

The vertical lines of the front fascia, including daytime running lights, are meant to be reminiscent of “illuminated skyscrapers in metropolitan areas,” Rolls-Royce notes. The radiator grille without a frame on the sides is illuminated, as on some models of its parent BMW. Also with the update, the Cullinan debuted large 23-inch wheels and new light brown Emperador Truffle body paint.

The “rebellious” Cullinan Black Badge has different wheels, a black figurine of the “Spirit of Ecstasy” and other dark decorative elements.

The interior of the crossover remains almost the same, except for the “Spirit of Ecstasy” under the analog dial. The carbon front panel is coated with at least six layers of varnish. The seats, upholstered in Duality Twill bamboo fabric, are embroidered with 2.2 million stitches using almost 18 kilometers of thread. They decided to use bamboo in Goodwood after visiting the Raiol Botanical Garden on the Cote d’Azur, next to which Sir Henry Royce’s former winter home, Villa Mimosa, is located.

The Cullinan continues to be powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that produces 571 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. With it, the crossover will live to the end of its life cycle, and in 2030 the brand will completely abandon fuel engines.

Earlier it was reported that BMW was planning to reorganize the Rolls-Royce model range. According to insiders, Ghost will be excluded from it: the sedan will be retired in favor of the Alpina B7 in order to avoid internal competition.
