Skoda has made Enyaq crossovers more powerful and faster. The Enyaq 85, Enyaq 85x and Enyaq RS variants received powertrains from the Audi Q4 e-tron and increased their range slightly. At the same time, all older versions received a battery pre-warming function, a new multimedia interface, an automatic door locking option and an improved voice assistant.

The updated Skoda Enyaq is a clear example of how technology is exchanged within the Volkswagen group. The highly efficient APP550 electric motor first appeared on the ID.7 liftback, then on Skoda, as part of the upgraded power plant of the top-end Enyaq Laurin & Klement. Then the same system went to the Audi Q4 e-tron, and now the innovation has spread to the simpler Enyaq. Crossovers have become more powerful and longer-range, and have also learned to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 28 minutes.

True, this applies only to the medium version, since the initial rear-wheel drive Enyaq 60 remained with its 180 horsepower electric motor and 58 kilowatt-hour battery. The Enyaq 80 and Enyaq 80x, renamed Enyaq 85 and Enyaq 85x, have a battery capacity of 82 kilowatt-hours (77 kWh available). Both have 286 horsepower and accelerate to one hundred in 6.7 and 6.6 seconds, respectively. The regular Enyaq 85 travels up to 565 kilometers on a single charge in the WLTP cycle, the coupe type – 576. The all-wheel drive Enyaq 85x ranges from 538 to 548 kilometers.

The driver’s Enyaq RS is also modernized, and in terms of technology it corresponds to the Audi Q4 55 e-tron quattro. Its two electric motors produce 340 horsepower instead of the previous 299, allowing it to accelerate to the first “hundred” in 5.5 seconds – a second faster than the pre-reform car. The maximum speed is the same as before, 180 kilometers per hour, despite the fact that now both Enyaq 85 and Enyaq 85x reach this speed.

Starting from the 2024 model year, Enyaq with index 85 and older also has a battery pre-warming function, a new multimedia system interface and an option to automatically lock the doors in the event that the driver with the key moves too far from the car. Finally, the Laura voice assistant has been updated to better understand commands addressed to it. Production of Enyaq with a new installation will begin in November. But such cars will go on sale only at the beginning of next year.
