Probably the last teasers of the fourth generation Skoda Superb have appeared on the Internet before the premiere, which is scheduled for November 2. Quite a lot is already known about the new product: with the change of generation, Superb will increase in size, and the exterior design will be made in accordance with the current corporate style of the Czech brand. The model will receive matrix headlights, a more spacious interior and a spacious trunk. The range of engines will include both petrol and diesel engines, and plug-in hybrid units will also be available.

In terms of technology, the fourth-generation Superb is unified with the Volkswagen Passat, however, unlike the Passat, which will henceforth be sold only with a station wagon body, the Superb will also receive a liftback version (the company itself considers it a hatchback).

New photos of the interior showed a 13-inch touchscreen multimedia system and a 10-inch digital instrument panel. It is known that the new Superb will also have a head-up display. The gearbox selector is now located on the steering column of the multifunction steering wheel, and physical “washers” Smart Dials with small screens in the middle have appeared above the central tunnel.

The next Superb is known to be optimized from an aerodynamic point of view: the drag coefficient will be 0.24. The car has become longer and taller; accordingly, the interior has become more spacious – there is more space above the heads of the driver and passengers, as well as in the area of the feet of passengers in the second row. The trunk volume has increased by 20 liters and is now 645 liters.

The engine range will be represented by three gasoline units with a volume of 1.5 to two liters with a capacity of 150 to 265 horsepower and two-liter diesel engines with a capacity of 150 and 193 horsepower. The basic gasoline engine is complemented by a 48-volt starter-generator, and the most powerful modifications are equipped with all-wheel drive. The gearbox is a seven-speed DSG. There will also be a hybrid version with the ability to charge from a wall outlet.
