The flagship model of the fourth generation is unified with the Volkswagen Passat, which from now on will be sold only in the station wagon form factor. In the pictures Superb appears in light camouflage, but there is little secret left in the liftback (or hatchback, as Skoda itself calls it): the manufacturer revealed the dimensions, showed the interior decoration and declassified the line of engines.
The new Superb liftback features optimized aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of just 0.24.
The length of the grown flagship was 4912 millimeters (+43 millimeters) – more than the Toyota Camry. The height is 1481 millimeters (+11 millimeters). This will give more headroom in the front and legroom in the back. The width, as well as the wheelbase, remained unchanged and amount to 1834 and 2841 mm, respectively. Trunk volume has also grown – up to 645 liters (+20).

The cabin, similar to that of the new Kodiaq, will house a large 13-inch touchscreen multimedia system and a 10-inch instrument panel with a projection display. Also, control is carried out through a multifunction steering wheel, under which the gear selector was transferred, and physical “washers” of Smart Dials with small screens. Complete sets with the new names Essence and Selection, as well as the usual Sportline and Laurin & Klement, will receive a unique design.
The range of engines includes three gasoline engines with a volume of 1.5 to two liters with a capacity of 150 to 265 horsepower, as well as two 2.0 diesel engines with 150 and 193 horsepower. The initial gasoline unit is supplemented with a 48-volt starter-generator, and all-wheel drive is put on the “top” engines. The engines are combined with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Aside from the liftback, the Superb will still be available in the practical Combi variant that Skoda showed in similar shots this summer. The premiere of the flagship is scheduled for November 2023.
