The car in this version is offered exclusively with a manual transmission. It has a retuned suspension, new brakes and no sunroof, which has reduced the center of gravity and weight. The four-door is powered by a standard 2.4 turbo four, developing 275 horsepower.

The current generation Subaru WRX has a new top version, the WRX TR. It relies on “even greater performance,” although the power unit here is the same as that of any other V-ar-X. Under the hood is a 2.4 turbo-four (275 hp; 350 Nm), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The drive is, of course, all-wheel drive, with a symmetrical central differential locked by a viscous coupling and Active Torque Vectoring via the brakes.

But the WRX TR has special ones – from Brembo. The mechanisms come with six-piston calipers at the front and two-piston at the rear, enlarged rotors, pads and master cylinder. Another TR innovation is recalibrated steering, which, combined with stiffer springs and dampers with revised damping characteristics, sharpens response. Also worth noting are the standard Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, which improve grip on dry and wet asphalt.

The WRX TR is the first WRX to be equipped with both a manual transmission and the EyeSight safety package. The sedan’s interior features microfiber-covered Recaro seats (the driver’s has electrical adjustments) and Subaru Starlink multimedia with an 11.6-inch display. The hatch found on the WRX Limited had to be abandoned to gain some weight and lower the center of gravity. It is not yet known how much the new product will cost – prices will be announced a little later. Now the order is as follows: for the base WRX they ask for 30,600 dollars (3 million rubles), for the top-end WRX GT – 43,400 (4.4 million rubles).
