In the summer of 2023, Ferrari presented the extreme hypercar SF90 XX – the model received an aggressive aerodynamic body kit with a fixed wing, control electronics with specific racing settings and a more powerful power plant. Already at the time of the presentation, it was stated that the SF90 XX passes the Fiorano factory track noticeably faster than the original SF90 Stradale. But only now has it become known exactly how much.

The record was set on October 16, 2023 during the SF90 XX Stradale’s press launch, which gave the international press the opportunity to speak with the engineers who developed the model and see up close all the preparation procedures for the factory test in pursuit of the best lap time.

The time was recorded using certified equipment in the presence of independent experts. Factory Driving Test Director Raffaele De Simone completed a lap of the Fiorano circuit in the 1,030 PS hybrid in 1:17.309 – 1.4 seconds faster than a Ferrari SF90 Stradale equipped with the Assetto Fiorano package and Michelin Cup2R tyres.

Thus, the standard Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale hypercar, equipped with lightweight carbon wheels and Michelin Cup2R tires, became the fastest road car in the history of the Italian circuit. If we compare the new product with other supercars of the brand, the Enzo is slower by 7.6 seconds, the F50 is 9.7 seconds behind, and the F40 and 288 GTO are even slower – they lose to the SF90 XX Stradale by 12.3 seconds and 18.7 seconds per lap, respectively.
