The third generation model turns seven years old this year, and the Japanese brand is preparing to introduce the “fourth” Swift. Its appearance will be preceded by a concept car that will debut at the Japan Mobility Show in late October. At the same time, Suzuki has already revealed the appearance of the show car in a photograph: in it, the car looks almost ready for production, despite the announced status of a concept.

Judging by the image, several significant changes await the appearance of the Suzuki Swift. The radiator grille has a thick frame and is slightly reduced in size; the Suzuki nameplate is now moved beyond it and located on top – under the edge of a more rounded hood.

The shape of the optics with diode “boomerangs” and the fog lamp sections has been adjusted. The shape of the glazing has also been changed, and the rear door handles have moved from the rear pillars to a more standard location on the doors themselves. Also noticeable are a radar above the grille and a fender badge indicating a hybrid powertrain.

There is still little information about the Swift’s technical equipment. Some highly efficient motor of as yet unknown output is expected. Perhaps the supermini will receive an improved version of the “soft” hybrid setup based on a 1.2-liter gasoline unit. Like the current Swift, the new product will be equipped with a set of active safety and ADAS driver assistance systems.

Despite the bans of the Japanese authorities, you can still find “fresh” Suzukis on Russian classifieds. Some of them are brought from India. For example, in Moscow, a 2023 Suzuki Jimny SUV is offered for almost four million rubles.
