Towards the end of 2023, the long-awaited presentation of the production version of the Cybertruck electric pickup truck finally took place at the Tesla plant in Austin. Along with the static display, the American automaker also announced a number of factory options, among which were quite unusual accessories that other brands do not offer, but which Elon Musk, known for his extraordinary actions, can well afford to release.

The body of the electric pickup truck is entirely made of stainless steel, which has proven to be resistant to small arms fire, but all models will be the same color, since Tesla does not paint its Cybertrucks.

However, customers will be offered a factory protective film – for $6,500, the pickup will be covered at the factory with white or black polyurethane film. For $5,000 you can get clear film. If this is too expensive for some, for $55 you can purchase a sticker for the rear side windows that simulates cracks.

This is how Tesla decided to beat the embarrassment of 2019, when during the first show of the Cybertruck, Tesla designer Franz von Holzhausen broke the rear window, trying to prove its resistance to impacts. Cracks appeared on the glass, but this did not upset the company and it demonstrated self-irony by offering such decor as a factory option.
