Avatr was created by Changan, Huawei and battery manufacturer CATL – electric cars and hybrids of this brand can also be found on the Russian market, while they are supplied to us semi-officially. In China, Avatr is actively developing and is currently preparing to introduce a new model with index 15, which can challenge the Tesla Model Y. So far, only a few teaser photos have been shown in which the electric crossover is captured in camouflage film.
Some conclusions can already be drawn: the “fifteenth” has large 22-inch wheels, signature C-shaped LED lines framing the bumper on both sides, and an active air intake at the front. You can also notice that the crossover has cameras installed instead of traditional exterior mirrors, and the door handles are retractable. In one of the pictures, an expeditionary trunk with camping equipment is installed on the roof of the electric car – it will probably be offered as an option for the model. The Avatr 15 also has a tow bar.

According to unofficial data, in addition to the all-electric version, the Avatr 15 will also have a hybrid power plant, in which the internal combustion engine is not directly connected to the wheels. The prototype model is currently being tested in the coldest part of Inner Mongolia.
The Avatr brand will officially appear in Russia. The supplies will be carried out by Changan Avatr 11: the first electric crossover from Changan and Huawei. The Avatr 11 crossover from Changan has lost all-wheel drive and has fallen in price. The luxury sedan Avatr 12 from Changan has dropped significantly in price in China.
Avatr has big plans for foreign markets. The brand will be launched in Thailand, Central Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Next, the sales territory will expand to Europe and the USA.
As for Russia, so far Avatr cars are entering our country semi-officially. However, it previously became known that during 2024 official deliveries of the vehicles could be organized by Changan. The model line will consist of an electric crossover with the index 11 and a sedan 12, and in the future, it is likely that 15 will join them.
