The launch of production of UAZ SUVs in Chechnya is scheduled for 2024
According to a statement by the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic, Muslim Khuchiev, the production of UAZ cars at the site of the new Chechenavto automobile plant is planned to begin in 2024. Thus, next year residents of the region will be able to purchase a domestic SUV manufactured in the republic.
In addition to the assembly of UAZ vehicles, the production of special equipment based on the GAZ Sobol and GAZ-3308 Sadko models will be established at the Chechenavto facilities. These vehicles will be equipped with the equipment necessary for law enforcement agencies: communications, weapons, and protection systems. In addition, some of the vehicles produced will receive special add-ons for transporting personnel and operating mobile groups.
Thus, the creation of a modern automobile production in the Chechen Republic will provide jobs for the local population and satisfy the demand of law enforcement agencies for special vehicles. And the promising and reliable UAZ will become a kind of calling card of the republic’s automobile industry.
