The authors of the YouTube channel Carwow staged a battle with the participation of three powerful German sports cars at once. The current Mercedes-AMG GT 63 was rivaled by the latest generation Porsche 911 Turbo S, and the race was complemented by the already discontinued Audi R8 supercar. Moreover, the bloggers managed to add some zest to the race by choosing as a representative of the “four rings” not just a serial modification of the mid-engine coupe, but its limited GT version.

The R8 GT has a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter petrol V10 under the hood combined with a 7-speed robotic gearbox, but the limited-edition coupe has 620 horsepower and 565 Nm, and this version has rear-wheel drive. Audi weighs 1570 kilograms.

Audi retires the R8

The other two models have all-wheel drive. Mercedes-AMG is equipped with a proprietary 4.0-liter turbo V8 engine that produces 577 “horses” and 800 Newton-meters, which, in combination with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, results in the new GT weighing 2,130 kilograms.

Porsche is equipped with a segment-unique 3.8-liter 6-cylinder turbo engine producing 650 horsepower and 800 Nm and weighing 1,640 kilograms. The 911 Turbo S has an 8-speed automatic transmission.
