BYD has already gained popularity in China, becoming the undisputed leader in the production of environmentally friendly transport. However, the ambitious plans of the company’s management to expand into world markets and begin export deliveries to different countries faced a serious obstacle in the form of projected restrictive measures on the part of European officials on the import of cars from the Middle Kingdom. A solution to the current conflict and a mutually beneficial partnership could be the cooperation of the Chinese auto giant with the ZAZ enterprise, which is currently virtually inactive. Cars that ZAZ could potentially produce would have the opportunity to unhindered entry into the European market without paying duties and fees.

In particular, we can talk about the ZAZ Sens Plus 2024 sedan, renderings of which were published by an independent designer of the navtotrasse.ru portal. This model is an exact copy of the Chinese BYD Qin Plus, presented in its homeland in hybrid and electric versions. Probably, ZAZ Sens Plus will also go on sale in both modifications.

In the basic configuration, the sedan will be equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline internal combustion engine, paired with electric motors of different power. Accordingly, the total output of the hybrid version of Sens Plus can vary from 179 to 197 hp. And the average fuel consumption will not exceed 3.8 liters per hundred. The electric range will be 55 or 110 km, depending on the configuration.

The electric version of the ZAZ Sens Plus 2024 may also arouse interest among European car enthusiasts. In China, BYD Qin Plus is offered at a price of about 1.3 million rubles when converted at the exchange rate. The Sense Plus will likely cost a little more than its progenitor, but will also have a choice of electric motor options with 136 or 184 hp. The tentative entry of ZAZ Sens Plus into the European market may take place as early as 2025.
