According to the Best Car Web portal, it will be a production version of the bZ Small Crossover concept car, shown in 2021 along with 15 other promising electric cars from Toyota and Lexus. Toyota is betting on the popularity of small cars in its home market, as well as Suzuki, which has extensive experience in developing them. However, the subcompact model will be sold not only in Japan.

The Toyota bZ Small Crossover was the smallest crossover concept introduced in 2021. It was then reported that it would consume about 12.5 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers, which is comparable to the figure of the larger Volkswagen ID.3.

The car was built on the eTNGA architecture. In size, it is located between the Aygo X and Yaris Cross, the lengths of which are 3700 and 4180 millimeters, respectively. It is also known that the Small Crossover will be aimed at both the Japanese and European markets, where small electric cars are in use.

There are no other details about the new and, apparently, the smallest representative of the “green” bZ (beyond zero) line.

The production model is expected to premiere in 2025. At the same time, the first production electric car Suzuki eVX on a platform created jointly with Toyota should see the light of day. It will be larger, judging by the length of the concept at 4300 millimeters. Suzuki plans to sell it in Japan and other markets, including India, where assembly will be established.
