The modified sports car was prepared by specialists from the American division of the Japanese brand. The new car, styled as a road-going Camry of the latest generation, will replace the former Camry TRD Next Gen, which scored 18 victories over the past two seasons, on the track. In February next year, eight “charged” Camry XSEs will hit the Coliseum track in Los Angeles.

The Camry XSE was developed by engineers from the TRD racing division together with tuners from the Toyota Calty Design studio. The task of the specialists was to maximize the external adaptation of the car to a production sedan. As a result, the sports car was equipped with similar air ducts in the front bumper and similar optics. At the same time, the car’s interior lacks the usual upholstery, and a safety cage is installed.

The cars for the NASCAR racing series are equipped with a 5.87-liter V8, the output of which is 700 horsepower. Moreover, depending on the specific route, the engine power can be limited by restrictors. The Camry XSE is paired with a five-speed sequential transmission.

The day before, tuners from Atelier ABT presented a racing Audi R8, prepared for use on public roads. The supercar, which was developed over two years, is called the ABT XGT.
