The American company PaxPower, which specializes in modifying pickup trucks, presented its next project based on the latest generation Ford F-150. Based on a short, single-cab pickup truck, the tuner turned it into a competitor to the Ford F-150 Raptor, which is available only as a crew cab. And this does not suit all clients – some need short pickups and are willing to pay quite generously for their construction.

By order of a fan of “charged” pickups from Saudi Arabia, a short-wheelbase Ford F-150 was built, capable of challenging the factory Ford F-150 Raptor. The new version is 770 kilograms lighter than the F-150 Raptor and more than 1,100 kilograms lighter than the Ram 1500 TRX, and the pickup matches the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler in length.

Visually, the model repeats the Raptor, since the hood, fenders, radiator grille, wheel arch extensions, ventilation openings and even body sides, as well as interior trim, including the steering wheel, are taken from it. Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger that produces 775 horsepower—almost 70 more than the Raptor.

Acceleration dynamics are not reported, but less weight and more power should clearly make the pickup more dynamic than the factory version. The new product features a modified suspension with new Fox Racing arms and shock absorbers, as well as 17-inch Method Racing racing wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich K02 tires. Two pickup trucks were built for the client, and PaxPower prepared a third for itself and will use it as a company vehicle.
