As the Telegram channel “Autopotok” reports with reference to Haima, the 8S crossovers and 7X minivans have already begun to arrive at dealerships, so sales will start in the near future. The channel publishes a photo of the seven-seater 7X minivan in the showroom, but the S8 crossover is not included in the photo. At the same time, there is already information about both models: the first is comparable in size to the Volkswagen Sharan and will cost approximately 3.6 million rubles, and the second is a classmate of the Toyota RAV4 with a preliminary price of 3.2-3.4 million rubles.
The X7 has been on sale in China for three years; it is a 4.8-meter long minivan with a 2+2+3 seating arrangement. There are two engines to choose from: a 1.6-liter with 195 horsepower and a 1.5-liter that develops 165 horsepower. The gearbox is a classic six-speed automatic, and the drive is only front-wheel drive. A minivan can be bought in China for 125.8 thousand yuan (about 1.6 million rubles), but in Russia it will be significantly more expensive.

The 8S crossover has been around since 2019 and is available with the same engines as the X7. At the same time, it is lighter and more dynamic than a minivan: acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour takes less than eight seconds. In the Russian market, Haima S8 will have to compete with Chery Tiggo 8.
Haima was founded in China in the early 1980s as a joint venture between the Hainan provincial government and Japan’s Mazda. In the period from 2011 to 2016, the brand was represented on the Russian market and sold, among other things, crossovers with the M3 and 7 indices. But they were not in particular demand: in five years, Russians bought a little more than 5.2 thousand of these cars.
