Volkswagen California will be offered to buyers in Beach, Beach Tour, Beach Camper, as well as Coast and Ocean trim levels. In addition to a lifting roof with a tent, which is available for all campervans, the model was equipped with front seats that swivel 180 degrees and sliding doors. The rear split seats can be converted into a full-fledged berth or removed completely to free up space.

The three most expensive versions have a camp kitchen with a sink, stove and plenty of storage drawers. The top-end California was equipped with additional batteries for trips into nature, a folding table, as well as two 230-volt outlets and a container for drinking water. Most of the camper’s functions can be controlled from a tablet mounted in the rear.
The new camper has three powertrain options. The model is available with a four-cylinder turbodiesel with a capacity of 150 horsepower, a 204-horsepower gasoline engine, as well as a hybrid power plant with a capacity of 245 horsepower, which is complemented by the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
In mid-March, Russian engineers presented a luxury motorhome built on the KamAZ-43 118 base. The six-wheeled camper was valued at 27 million rubles.
