Volkswagen suspends production of four electric vehicles due to engine shortage

Quite unexpected news came from Western media. As it became known, the German concern Volkswagen encountered certain difficulties, which led to a partial stop of the production cycle. In particular, the assembly of four electric vehicles has been stopped. The reason was a shortage of electric motors. This is exactly the information MarketWatch shares.

Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that vehicle production has been suspended for three weeks. If anything changes, additional information will be provided. As for the models themselves, which are not yet produced, two are included in the line of the head office, and two are from Audi. We are talking about the Audi Q4 Sportback E-tron, Audi Q4 E-tron, Volkswagen ID.4 and Volkswagen ID.5.

It is not yet known what is causing the shortage of motors. But there is evidence that in the third quarter of this year the German brand was able to increase its profit to 4.35 billion euros. Last year, during the same period, only 2.14 billion euros were earned. Revenue also increased to 78.85 billion euros (+12 percent). Operating profit margin increased 0.2 percent from the previous six percent. Operating profit excluding one-off factors increased 15 percent to 4.89 billion euros (photo: Volkswagen).
