From this collection, as usual, you will learn the five main automotive news. Everything is just the most interesting: the new generation Skoda Superb was presented, Audi showed the farewell TT roadster, Mercedes-AMG showed the GT2 Pro track-day sports car, Toyota launches sales of the Crown sedan, and Acura updated the TLX sedan.

New generation Skoda Superb presented

The premiere of the new generation Skoda Superb took place. The fourth generation model has been transformed inside and out, and in terms of technology it has been unified with the Volkswagen Passat. There are two fundamental innovations: firstly, an adaptive suspension has become available for an additional fee for the Superb, and secondly, a “mild hybrid” has appeared in the range for the first time. In addition, Superb production was moved from the Czech Republic to Slovakia – from now on the model will be assembled at the same plant as the Passat. In Europe, sales of the new product will begin in the spring of 2024. Skoda notes that all body panels on the Superb are new, and due to the greater angle of the windshield, aerodynamics have improved.

Audi showed the “farewell” TT roadster

Audi says goodbye to the TT with the release of a limited-edition roadster. In February 2023, the Ingolstadt brand announced it would cease production of the iconic sports car without appointing a successor. Since then, Audi has introduced several limited-edition “farewell” versions for different markets. Now it’s North America’s turn. She received a stylish TT Roadster Final Edition in a historical green hue and with an edition of 50 units, which will make the model especially desirable among collectors. The TT Roadster Final Edition is finished in Audi Exclusive Goodwood Green Pearl, an optional extra for the first-generation TT.

Mercedes-AMG showed the most powerful sports car for track days GT2 Pro

Mercedes-AMG showed the most powerful 750-horsepower sports car for track days GT2 Pro. In 2022, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 premiered, becoming the most powerful model ever built by the company as part of a customer racing program. A year later, the Pro modification appeared, taking on the status of the most powerful sports car in the AMG Customer Racing line. True, you won’t be able to race the car – it is not homologated for official competitions and is not certified for public roads, but you can drive it on circuits as part of private track days. The Pro version now has the Push2Pass function, which allows you to briefly increase engine output to 750 horsepower.

Toyota launches sales of new generation Crown sedan

Toyota is launching a new Crown sedan. The last of the four models in the family stands out among the rest: the large sedan is built not on the GA-K platform, but on the GA-L with a longitudinal engine and rear-wheel drive, and is ideologically the same as the classic Crown. Toyota revealed the appearance of the new product earlier, and now it has declassified the power plants. Orders for the sixteenth generation Crown will begin taking place in Japan on November 13th. The price starts at 7.3 million yen, which is approximately equal to 4.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate. For the five-meter Crown, they will offer two power plants to choose from: hybrid and hydrogen. In both cases, the drive is rear-wheel drive, and the price of the “hydrogen car” is one million yen higher.
