The name Veyron was chosen for the model – the same name as the Bugatti hypercar, which was produced from 2005 to 2015. The Great Wall concern, which includes the Haval brand, apparently does not fear a lawsuit from the French automaker, because it is actively preparing to launch its Veyron in China. Sales will begin in 2024, but for now the company has patented the design of the future model.

It is already known that the Haval Veyron crossover will receive a Hi-4 hybrid power plant with an internal combustion engine and two electric motors with a capacity of about 380-460 horsepower and will be able to travel on pure electricity for up to 100 kilometers. Its main competitors in the Chinese market will be Li Auto Li 7 and L8, Huawei Aito M7 and BYD Tang, respectively, it will be in the same price category – approximately 200 thousand yuan (2.5 million rubles at today’s exchange rate).

In terms of design, the Veyron is both reminiscent of the Tank 400 and Tank 700, as well as the recently introduced Haval Raptor, another model with a name borrowed from a foreign car (Ford F-150 Raptor). The CarNewsChina portal publishes patent images of the Haval Veyron, as well as renderings based on them from an independent designer. Apparently, the feature of the crossover will be lights connected by a luminous strip and extending onto the rear pillars.

Journalists pay attention to the round logo in the images of the crossover – this is the emblem of SAR, another sub-brand of Great Wall. It was initially assumed that Veyron would appear on the market as SAR, but then Great Wall abandoned this brand, and its models were distributed among other brands of the concern. So the Veyron went to Haweil.
