Telegram channel “Autopotok” publishes photographs of preparations for the presentation of the new Foton model as part of the ComVex/CTT exhibition. Tunland V9, sales of which will start on the Russian market in July, is a large premium pickup truck with a hybrid power plant, which is larger in size than the Tunland G7 already presented to us. Prices for the new product are expected to be announced next month.

The following is known about the Tunland V9: it is a body-on-frame pickup truck with a double-wishbone spring suspension at the front and a solid axle at the rear. It reaches a length of 5.6 meters with a wheelbase of 3.3 meters, that is, comparable to the Great Wall Poer KingKong. The dimensions of the cargo compartment (1577 × 1650 × 530 millimeters) and ground clearance, which is 240 millimeters, are also given.

Inside, the pickup truck has a multimedia system with a 14.6-inch screen and a digital instrument panel. The list of equipment is expected to include six airbags, all-round cameras and a set of electronic assistants. All seats are heated, and the front seats are also equipped with a ventilation function.

The Foton Tunland G7 pickup truck is officially sold in Russia. How much does it cost? A Chinese Foton pickup truck similar to the Ford F-150 has appeared in Russia. A former Mercedes-Benz dealer will supply Chinese vans to Russia.

The Foton Tunland V9 is driven by a mild hybrid installation, which includes a two-liter Aucan diesel engine with a capacity of 162 horsepower, complemented by a 48-volt starter-generator. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic. The drive can be rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The design of the Tunland V9 (the model is known in China as Mars 9) is reminiscent of the American Ram 1500. In China, Mars 9 is sold at prices ranging from 153.8 thousand to 187.8 thousand yuan (1.9-2.35 million rubles).
