The American camper manufacturer Camp365 showed its recent development – Model T. This is a motorhome that folds into a compact capsule and is placed in the back of a pickup truck. It is designed to be as light and aerodynamic as possible, and therefore is best suited for electric cars – for example, the Tesla Cybertruck or Rivian R1T.

Depending on the equipment, Camp365’s Model T weighs just 700 to 800 pounds—significantly less than other similarly sized campers that fit in the cargo bed of a pickup truck.

Model T unfolds in a few minutes. The dimensions are 2.75 by 2.13 meters, and the floor area is 5.8 square meters. Inside you can stand up to your full height, as the ceiling height is 2.03 meters. Moreover, when folded, the length, width and height of the capsule are 2.2, 1.2 and 2 meters, respectively. You can store it in the corner of the garage, or you can use retractable legs: in this case, the pickup truck seems to move out from under the camper, which remains at the same height as its body.

The interior decoration is configured depending on your wishes. This can be a double bed and a table for working, or two or three separate beds. The list of equipment includes climate control, wall monitor, water tanks, mobile solar panels and a Starlink antenna. The price of such a camper is 25 thousand dollars, which at the current exchange rate is equal to 2.5 million rubles.

In August, Citroen introduced a retro-style campervan. It was built on the platform of a modern minivan, but stylized as a classic model of the French brand. So far this is only a prototype, equipped with a lifting roof, a folding sofa and a sleeping place, as well as a heater and several wardrobes. Four people can travel in this one.
