The Chinese state concern began selling in its homeland the three-door city car Bestune Pony, which is only three meters long. An electric car with a “toy” appearance travels up to 170 kilometers on a full charge of the largest battery, and costs half as much as the simplest Lada Granta: for pre-order they asked from $3,900, which is equal to 360 thousand rubles.
Bestune Pony is sold in three trim levels. For the body, they offer six colors, and for the four-seater saloon, more than a hundred decorative details are offered, allowing you to customize the interior to your taste. The length of the hatchback is exactly three meters. That is, it is noticeably shorter than the Smart ForFour, but still longer than the ForTwo. Ground clearance is 130 millimeters, which FAW calls the best in the class.

The electric car is driven by a motor with a power of only 27 horsepower. Energy consumption is 8.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers. You can choose the battery capacity: a smaller option will allow you to travel up to 122 kilometers, a larger one – up to 170.

The Pony’s equipment list includes rear parking sensors, energy recovery system, ABS, hill assist and a rear view camera. The cabin has air conditioning, a USB input, a seat belt sensor and child seat anchors. There is only one airbag – the driver’s.
By the way, the Smart company, known for the small ForTwo and ForFour, has changed its focus to larger models. At the end of April, it showed the largest car in its history – concept #5 with off-road tires, a winch, an LED “chandelier” and roof rails.
