British car manufacturers are starting to produce bicycles one after another. Following the Lotus Type 136, the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R enters the market. The joint new product of two British brands, bicycle manufacturer J. Laverack and sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, is very ambitiously positioned as “the most unique and most advanced bicycle ever created in the world,” which implements several innovative technical solutions.

The details of the bike contain references to specific Aston Martin cars – in particular, the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar and the Aston Martin DB12 sports car were the source of inspiration. Customers can choose from Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, Campagnolo Super Record Wireless or SRAM RED eTap AXS drivetrains, AERA Components carbon wheels with custom Continental GP5000S TR tires, and a custom Brooks saddle and handlebar.

It is stated that a feature of the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R will be an extensive personalization program. The bicycle can be decorated in the same style as the client’s sports car, but if the buyer of the bicycle suddenly does not have his own Aston Martin car, he can choose any other version of the design.

Bike buyers will be invited to Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon where they will be given a meeting with the founders of J.Laverack and have their bike fitted. Each example and its components, such as hubs, cranks and frame, are numbered, and with the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R, owners will receive an aluminum or carbon storage case and a bicycle-themed pump with Alcantara or leather trim. The cost of the bike has not been announced – they are ready to announce it to specific clients upon their request.
