At the same time, the arrangement of cars was not an ordinary arrival at the parking lot – it was turned into a defile.

And it worked: the American market accepted the “one hundred and seventh” with a bang. We still think of the SL as the car of movie stars and millionaires, not major street racers. By the way, the R107 model lasted in production from 1971 to 1989! Imagine what an abyss lies between the elegant “Pagoda” and the great [R129](https://motor.ru/reports/avtokultura-2022.htm#14), which confidently entered the 21st century with 12-cylinder engines and several AMG versions. So, all this abyss was occupied by the “one hundred and seventh” – and this is worth a lot.
