The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Trade shared photos and characteristics of the new GWM hybrid SUV. At the Guangzhou Motor Show, a “cyberpunk” version of the Tank 700 Hi4-T was shown, and now details about the basic version of the all-terrain vehicle have appeared for the first time. The new product will abandon the solid rear axle in favor of a multi-link suspension, and the power plant will develop up to 524 horsepower and 850 Nm!

The Tank 700 Hi4-T SUV turned out to be more powerful and high-torque than expected, and in terms of the chassis and hybrid system, no differences are expected between the regular version and the “cyberpunk” version. This means that the Great Wall flagship will switch to air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers and unlockable anti-roll bars. The housings of cross-wheel differential locks will become stronger.

Probably, the main difference of the as-yet unnamed special version will be the body kit: the bumpers, hood, wheels have changed, bronze decorative elements and linings have been added. The base Tank 700 Hi4-T will be two centimeters shorter, six centimeters narrower and 3.5 centimeters lower than the factory tuning version. So far, photos of the interior have been published only for the top version.

It seems that Great Wall intends to start sales of the Tank 700 with rechargeable hybrid versions, although almost a year ago a regular SUV with a V6 engine and a moderate-hybrid “appendage” was certified in China. Probably, this option will still be added to the range, but later.
