The Bentley brand line is full of various accessories that relate to both cars and interior items or wardrobe items. This time, the British automaker decided to combine both cars and clothing by releasing a limited edition of driving gloves. The design studio Forestaliga worked on the accessory, which was able to embody and convey the corporate style of the Bentley brand in gloves.

The founder of the London design studio Forestaliga, Emmanuel Laval, together with the Arete brand, took on the development of gloves, the release of which was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Bentley Continental GT model. The design of the Forestalgia gloves, as stated by the manufacturer, reflects the essence of the Bentley GT and is made in two colors: Black Crystal and Racing Green, referencing the optional interior of the sports car.

Each glove features Bentley and Forestalgia logos, reinforced safety panels with double stitching, hand-rolled leather edges and ergonomic perforations. The leather on the Bentley GT steering wheel cannot be stitched correctly by machine, so before stitching begins, Bentley’s craftsmen in Crewe mark it with a regular kitchen fork so that the markers are positioned perfectly.

The same method was also used for each Forestalgia driving glove, which takes over a month to make by hand. To create the gloves, waste leather upholstery was used, which is not suitable for interior decoration, but is quite suitable, for example, for sewing gloves.
