Although Bentley’s history is tied to racing, the brand’s modern cars are still quite difficult to imagine on the race track. However, straight-line racing is still not alien to the brand’s premium models, especially when the duelists are equipped with a powerful 6.0-liter W12 engine. To find out which Bentley is faster, bloggers from the Carwow channel battled the current Bentley Continental GT coupe and the Bentley Flying Spur sedan with the same power units.

Both cars are equipped with identical 6.0-liter W12 petrol turbo engines, which are paired with an 8-speed robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive. But there is still a difference in parameters.

On the Continental GT, the engine develops 659 horsepower and 900 Nm, which comes from a weight of 2273 kilograms. The Flying Spur has less power – 635 horsepower – with the same torque and a weight of 2437 kilograms.

The coupe was the obvious favorite, but the sedan also managed to become the best in one of the tests. The channel’s authors’ standard testing program includes a standing start at the classic drag racing distance of 402 meters, parallel running starts from 48 and 80 kilometers per hour, and an assessment of the effectiveness of braking mechanisms from a speed of 161 kilometers per hour.
