A Chinese-made all-terrain vehicle has entered the market of a neighboring country. UzAuto Motors estimated the basic configuration with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, CVT and front-wheel drive at 300 million soums (equivalent to 24.7 thousand dollars). The Lada Vesta NG Sportline sedan with factory antichrome costs a comparable price in Russia (2.2 million rubles or 24.1 thousand dollars).

The current Chevrolet Captiva is a redesigned “Chinese” Baojun 530. We are talking about a crossover 4.67 meters long with 180 mm ground clearance and a turbo engine under the hood (150 horsepower, 255 Nm). The basic package includes six airbags, a digital instrument panel, a media system with a 10.4-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, cruise control and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The top version for 350 million soums ($28.8 thousand) adds full LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, front parking sensors, all-round cameras, perforated leather trim, a third row of seats, and climate control. The Captiva model has not been offered in Uzbekistan since 2018, when the previous generation crossover was removed from the Asian market. Now the local Chevrolet line has been expanded to eleven models.

In Russia, they also tried to sell the new Chevrolet Captiva, but such cars did not become widespread, although in February of this year, a mid-size crossover made in China cost less than two million rubles.
