Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing a study by Otkrytie Auto, reports that last month a number of models sharply increased sales volumes and demonstrated a high sales growth rate: for some it was three-digit, while for others it was double-digit. Thus, the first include the Changan CS95 and Jaecoo J8 crossovers, as well as the Dongfeng Aeolus Shine Max sedan; second – Changan CS55 and Uni-V.

As for Changan CS95, it is in first place in terms of sales growth dynamics: +257 percent compared to April. This model has been on our market since last summer. Now its starting price exceeds four million rubles, but taking into account discounts, the car can be bought for 3.35 million. Two more Changan models showed significant growth (albeit double-digit) last month: the “junior” crossover CS55 (+82 percent compared to April) and the Uni-V liftback (+31 percent).

For the first time, China has surpassed the United States in global car sales Sales of new cars in Russia soared by 76.2 percent Chinese tractors have appeared in Russia that accelerate to 150 kilometers per hour

Three-digit growth was also demonstrated by Dongfeng Aeolus Shine Max, which sold 168 units in the last month of spring, which is 171 percent more than in April. The reason for the growing popularity of this model is direct discounts from Motorinvest. Finally, sales of Jaecoo J8 increased by 246 percent, to 689 units.

Experts note that the level of recognition of specific Chinese brands, and even more so models, in Russia remains low. Especially outside the three brands that have been doing business in Russia for more than 10 years (Chery, Geely and Haval).

“Whatever the dynamics of the market as a whole, models will inevitably appear on it that will show double-digit growth in the short term,” says the Otkritie Auto study. “In June, taking into account the fact that the business is approaching the close of the next quarter, there will certainly be more such cars.”
