“Great race. Lancia vs. Audi” (Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia) is a joint British-Italian film telling about the epic confrontation between the Audi and Lancia teams during the 1983 World Rally Championship.

The Martini Racing Lancia and Audi Sport teams finished with a difference of only 2 points, and it was a truly fierce and dangerous battle, and the Audi Quattro A1 and Lancia 037 cars became rally legends.

The main roles of Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia was performed by Daniel Brühl (Audi sports program manager Roland Gumpert) and Riccardo Scamarcio (Cesare Fiorio, Lancia team manager). The film was directed by Italian Stefano Mordini.

It looks like we are waiting for a rally version of “Ford vs Ferrari” with a flavor of the movie “Rush”, in which, by the way, the same Daniel Brühl played the legendary Niki Lauda.

Premiere of the film “The Great Race. Lancia vs. Audi” worldwide is scheduled for January 5, 2024.
