If the insider is confirmed, then the Geely Icon will fall in price by at least ten percent and will cost comparable to the top version of the co-platform Coolray. No innovations in exterior design or technology are expected.
The Geely Icon underwent a restyling in the summer of 2022, so the model is approaching the end of its life cycle. The crossover is comparable in size to the Coolray, but is based on the most advanced version of the BMA platform with independent rear suspension. Icon’s target audience is young people, which was confirmed by shocking special versions, for example, aimed only at women.

The Icon crossover is not among Geely’s bestsellers; for example, in April 2024, only 3.1 thousand cars found buyers. Dealers are already offering discounts of up to 15%, that is, taking into account the discount, the basic “chocolate” version costs 95 thousand yuan (13.4 thousand dollars). If the disposition continues, the new Butterfly package will cost about 80 thousand yuan (11.3 thousand dollars).
There is no alternative to the technology: under the hood is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engine (181 horsepower, 290 Nm) coupled with a 7-speed preselective “robot” and front-wheel drive.
The Geely Icon crossover will not appear in Russia, but other new products are promised for our country. Within a year, the Preface business sedan and the Atlas Cool compact crossover should officially enter our market.
