Ken Block’s unique rally Subaru with questionable documents is up for auction

The well-known online trading platform Bring a Trailer has an offer for fans of the legendary American racer Ken Block. For sale is a modified 2004 Subaru Impreza rally sedan, which Ken himself and Italian co-driver Alex Gelsomino drove in the 2006 X Games rally. The conversion of a standard car into a full-fledged rally car was carried out by Vermont SportsCar. A forced 2-liter boxer turbo engine with a power of more than 300 hp was installed, a 5-speed manual transmission with a Cusco all-wheel drive rear differential.

Block’s Impreza is also equipped with a GReddy radiator and intercooler, SPAL fan, Prodrive restrictor, Bosch fuel pump, MoTeC control unit and many other racing elements. Professional Ohlins suspension, AP brakes with Ferodo pads, Speedline Corse alloy wheels on BFGoodrich cars and other rally equipment were installed. However, there are some serious “buts” with this lot. Thus, the actual mileage of the car is unknown and there is no odometer. After the 2005 accident, the car was officially listed as damaged to the point of being unusable. In addition, the seats and belts have expired homologation.

Nevertheless, the Impreza is technically sound and, if desired, can be returned to service. And in the salon there are autographs of Ken Block himself and his rally track comrade Travis Pastrana. The starting price for this exclusive collectible lot is $45.5 thousand.
