Four years after its premiere, the first crossover in Lamborghini history received another modification – in 2022, a sports version named Performante appeared in the Urus model line. The car, which even before its official premiere became the Pikes Peak record holder among production crossovers, however, quickly left the stage. Together with the less extreme version of the Urus S, the model will be discontinued in the near future.

The technical director of the Italian automaker, Ruven Mor, announced a sharp reduction in the model range. The Urus crossover will lose two of its three modifications – only the most powerful hybrid version will remain in the lineup.

Lamborghini has an 800-horsepower hybrid crossover

“It is important to understand that this car replaces the Urus S and Performante, so in the future you will only be able to order the Urus SE. This car is versatile and even more comfortable than the Urus S because we have completely recalibrated the air suspension. If you put the same tires on the SE, it will be faster than the Urus Performante, its track times will be close to the Performante, but it will be a lot more fun because we can use a lot more power at the rear wheels,” says Ruven Mor.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is equipped with a power plant that includes a 620-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 gasoline turbo engine and a 192-horsepower electric motor built into an 8-speed automatic transmission. Peak output of the Urus SE is 800 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque.
