In Japan, the price list for the Mitsuoka Viewt Story five-door was revealed and the production plan was shared. In the remaining three months, they expect to assemble 40 copies, then 180 converted hatchbacks will be produced annually. Prices start at 3,476,000 yen (equivalent to 2.28 million rubles), the most expensive all-wheel drive hybrid will cost 4,290,000 yen (2.81 million rubles).

Mitsuoka Viewt Story is the brand’s bestseller, and the fourth generation of the retro hatchback has been released. Previously, the Nissan March was taken as the basis, but now the Toyota Yaris has become the source. Since the Yaris line-up in the domestic market is very wide, Mitsuoka buyers can choose from a dozen trim levels! There is front-wheel drive, electric or mechanical all-wheel drive, CVT or manual transmission, and engine power reaches 120 horsepower.

Tuning includes original optics, different bumpers, trunk lid, hood and radiator grille. The parts are made of resin-based composite materials using injection molding. The hood is stamped. You can choose from a dozen exterior shades and eight interior color options, and the project will take any new five-door Yaris for the Japanese market. This year, the Mitsuoka Viewt hatchback celebrated its 30th anniversary on the assembly line.

It is curious that the previous generation of retro hatches will continue to be produced individually from used Nissan March. Thus, two Viewt variants remain in service: both mimic the 1959 Jaguar Mk II, but differ in technology, production technology and price. The Japanese value Mitsuoka products: orders for Viewt are booked almost a year in advance.
