The 15th of just 100 Bentley Brooklands R’s produced is being auctioned online by Bonhams. This example has also received a number of modifications from court tuner Mulliner.

Bentley Brooklands replaced the Mulsanne S and Eight in 1992. Powered by the same 6.75-litre V8 petrol engine and four-speed automatic transmission, the Brooklands had a top speed of almost 215km/h and a 0-96km/h acceleration time of 9.3 seconds. Both figures are extremely impressive considering the car weighed 2,430kg.

Still, the model was more focused on luxury and comfort than on dynamic driving: Brooklands abound in leather, walnut veneer and lots of shiny parts. And yet, Bentley owners were more likely to drive their limousines than those who chose a Rolls-Royce and did not climb out of the back row.

For those who wanted to shift the focus towards speed, Bentley offered a special Brooklands R model. It had the chassis of the Turbo R and a 6.75-liter V8 with low-pressure turbocharging. As a result, its power unit produced 325 hp. and 446 Nm of torque.

Finished in Peacock Blue with a champagne interior, it has covered just 58,000 kilometers. It has been in the hands of the seller since 2014 and used as a weekend car, having covered just 290 kilometers since 2019.

Exterior upgrades from Mulliner include painted bumpers, radiator surrounds, rearview mirror caps, front fender vents and headlight bezels. It also gets chrome mesh on the grille, bumper air intakes and fender vents.

There are also huge 18-inch alloy wheels, a design unique to this model. The eagle-eyed among you will also notice that all the exterior badges are green and the exhaust pipe is oval.

The interior features walnut veneer trim, instruments with chrome bezels, and the gear lever is not only unique to this model, but also features chrome and leather.

The dashboard is finished in blue leather on the top, magnolia on the bottom, Bentley wings are embroidered on the headrests, and there are mesh pockets on the front seatbacks. And on the door hiding the radio there is a sign with the number 15 out of 100.
