The car was driven only once, and at the Bahrain International Circuit it was faster than the Toyota GR010 Hybrid racer. The basis of the hypercar was a project for the WEC championship. Now there are only 11 of these in the world, and they cost the owners at least 4 million dollars.

A unique lot has appeared in the section of private, non-auction sales at Sotheby’s – an Aston Martin Valkyrie. The car is being sold in Dubai. And this is not an ordinary road version, but an even more extreme AMR Pro, of which there are eleven worldwide. The hypercar took to the track once, as part of factory testing. The rest of the time it was an exhibit of a private collection. The condition, according to the auctioneers, is perfect. Price on request. Although it is clear that we are talking about a seven-figure sum.

Formally, the Valkyrie AMR Pro is close to the WEC sports prototypes and is even built on a chassis originally designed for 24-hour racing. The aerodynamic body kit here generates twice as much downforce as on a road car, and overloads in corners reach up to 3 g. The Cosworth V12 6.5 engine is the same, producing 1014 horsepower. However, to reduce weight, the AMR Pro removes all hybrid components. For the same reason, the external body panels and wishbones are made of carbon fiber, and the windshield and side windows are made of Perspex acrylic.

The dynamic characteristics of the track “Valkyrie” have not yet been disclosed. But there is an estimated time for completing the Le Mans circuit – 3:20, which is quite consistent with the level of LMP1 class cars. Plus data from a real race on the Bahrain International Circuit – 1:48. For comparison: in 2022, the winning Toyota GR010 Hybrid race car at the 8 Hours of Bahrain completed its fastest lap there in 1:50.125.
