The brand continues to work on adapting green technologies for high-performance cars. Almost three years after the premiere of the RE-X1 Kreisel electric rally car based on the Fabia Rally2 evo, the Czechs are preparing to present a more dynamic and aggressive Enyaq RS with the Race prefix. He is destined to “raise Skoda’s motorsport DNA to a new level,” the press service notes.

The Enyaq RS Race has an aggressive look with “strong racing DNA”, making it look fast even on paper, said Skoda chief designer Daniel Petr. It was deliberately made to look like the Fabia RS Rally2 rally hatchback, which was based on the fourth-generation production Fabia.

RS Race is based on the all-wheel drive Skoda Enyaq Coupé RS. It is wider and lower than the original, due to which it is controlled more stable, and the massive wing crowning the stern generates additional downforce.

Skoda has not yet spoken about the powertrain, but promises improved dynamic performance compared to a conventional crossover. The Enyaq, including its driver’s RS version, was updated in October last year, receiving an increase in power.

Its “technique” now corresponds to the Audi Q4 55 e-tron quattro: two engines produce 340 horsepower instead of the previous 299, accelerating the crossover from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.5 seconds. The maximum speed remained unchanged – 180 kilometers per hour.
