The new model was shown to journalists, but not yet officially. The Russian representative office of the Livan brand, owned by the Geely holding, said that the launch will take place in October, at which time prices will be announced and specifications published. The S6 Pro will occupy its niche in taxis and car sharing, where it will replace the Kia Cerato that left Russia, and its competitor will be the Moskvich 6.

Livan S6 Pro is a D-class sedan built on the Geely Emgrand platform. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 138 horsepower and a 7-speed robotic transmission with two clutches. In the cabin there is a digital instrument panel and a multimedia system screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each. The list of equipment includes all-round cameras and 17-inch wheels. It was in this configuration that the car was shown to journalists.

As Xie Jiao, general director of Livan in Russia, told Motor, the car passed a six-month series of road tests in Russian conditions, and they are now continuing. The S6 Pro is produced at the Chengdu plant, where they also produce models of other Geely brands – Zeekr, Link&Co and Polestar.

Livan already sells the B-segment crossover X3 Pro in Russia. It has a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 103 horsepower, a CVT and front-wheel drive. Prices start at 1.7 million rubles.

Later, the “senior” X6 Pro crossover will also go on sale. After the Livan model line expands to three models, the company expects to sell from 32 to 40 thousand cars on the Russian market and take a market share of 4-5 percent.
