Accepting orders for the model opened in August last year, and in just a week the entire planned circulation of 500 copies was sold out. In this regard, Polestar decided to release more electric roadsters, the head of the company, Thomas Ingenlath, spoke about this in an interview with the British Autocar. According to him, the circulation will be increased, but only if the customers themselves want it.

One of the reasons for the increased interest in the model was a well-planned advertising campaign – customers filled out purchase orders even knowing that they would not see the car until at least 2026. And despite this, all 500 copies of the Polestar 6 were booked in seven days. Now Polestar admits that additional copies of the model will be released if customers want it. However, the timing of the launch of the electric car into series remained unchanged: production will begin only in a year.

The electric car is based on an aluminum platform and is driven by a twin-engine unit with a capacity of 884 horsepower. It accelerates from zero to the first hundred in 3.2 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour. One battery charge lasts for 600 kilometers.

Meanwhile, this summer the no less powerful Polestar 5 debuted, although it is still in concept status. The production version will hit the market in 2025. According to preliminary data, this electric car will have an 800-volt architecture and one electric motor on each axle. The power reserve is the same 600 kilometers.
