The “Auto Price” portal found out that in November the price lists of the FAW Bestune T77 were revised. The basic version with “mechanics” was excluded from the range, and modifications with “robot” added 436-439 thousand rubles to the price. As a result, the starting price increased by 544 thousand rubles (up to 2,864,000 rubles), and the maximum configuration will cost 3,016,000 rubles! No changes in technology or equipment were noticed.

FAW Bestune T77 was supposed to serve as a prototype for the Lada X-Cross 5 crossover, which never entered the Russian market. The gap between AvtoVAZ and the FAW concern has not been officially confirmed, however, the increase in price of the original model contradicts Lada’s pricing policy.

Let us remember that in June, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, said that the most equipped X-Cross 5 crossover would cost 2.5 million rubles, and they planned to publish the price list in the summer. Now the top version of the FAW Bestune T77 costs three million rubles, and the budget version with a manual transmission will no longer be available.

The FAW concern intends to develop its own line of cars in Russia. Three new products are planned for release in 2024. There are no details, but there are many options for expanding the range: in China, FAW has minivans, crossovers, and cars.
